FAQs

  • Annual dues are $25, and a one-time t-shirt fee is $25. There are no other fees.

  • All members will attend at least two of SLD's three meetings per year. An ADDITIONAL ONE hour of philanthropy hours will be awarded to those that attend the Final Meeting/SR Recognition event in May. Attending all three is encouraged!

  • Girls will serve 12 hours each year, and Moms will serve nine. Summer hours are credited to the upcoming school year. The SERVICE YEAR begins the Monday following the last Final Meeting/SR Recognition Event of the year (which is usually the first Sunday in May). Time that officers and committee members spend in their roles is not credited as SLD hours but can be submitted to TCA.

  • Each member can choose how to earn their hours. Scheduling is done through the Track It Forward App. There will be 4 or more opportunities per month to choose from. Additionally, throughout the Service Year, there will be 4-5 SLD Hosted Committee Group Service events held on Sundays at NW Bible Church, one of which will also be our December Meeting. Additionally, we will also have 3 independent projects throughout the Service Year. However, members can only do up to 1/3rd of their hours as independent project work (3 for moms, 4 for daughters). The goal is to serve the majority of your hours with others!

  • All meetings and service opportunities are listed in Track It Forward. They are added as early as possible to allow members to plan ahead throughout the year.

  • All sign ups will be done through the Track it Forward App. An INVITE to register for TIF will be emailed to all members after Fall registration. The President will also send a monthly email round-up of news and service opportunities.

  • The Secretary will email and updated spreadsheet of everyone’s hours in Nov, Jan and March - but you will also be able to track them in TIF app. It is each members responsibility to review the hours report and confirm their served hours have been accurately captured by the Secretary.

  • If a member cannot attend an event, it is important that they delete their sign up on Track if Forward up to 5-7 days prior to the event (cancelation policy will be posted on TIF for each respective event). After that, a member needs to find a replacement or they will be required to serve 2 Service penalty hours. Life Happens... please notify the VP of Philanthropy to help us maintain a good relationship with the philanthropies we serve.

  • All SLD hours can be submitted to TCA. SLD members can exceed their minimum service requirements, particularly if working toward TCA's community service award. TCA requires 4 service hours for the Fall, 4 for the Winter, and all remaining hours by early May.
